Synthesis of Ag-La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSM-Ag) Composite Powder and Its Application in Magnesium Air Battery

La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSM) catalyst is prepared via a sol-gel method and modified typical silver mirror reaction. Silver ammonia solution reduced in polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-containing to obtain nanoparticles sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) added as surfactant. The microstructure morphology of the LSM-Ag composite powder are characterized. According results, Ag particles precipitate on LSM surface elemental form grain size about one hundred nanometers. analysis electrocatalytic performance cathodes with different amounts loading reveals that number electrons transferred during oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) cathode an content 14% by weight reached 3.9, which very close commercial Pt/C catalysts. Similarly, maximum power density air battery made LSM-14%Ag 73 mW/cm2, exceeds 63 found for battery. Finally, increasing amount allows improve electrochemical best effect achieved when 14%.
